AiBT · AI IMMERSED Bible Translation

Beyond
Bible Translation

Technology for Scripture, language and community

AiBT is designed to support Bible translation, but the value of a strong community language model can extend far beyond a single translation project.

The wider opportunity

A foundation for language
and community work

As translation teams develop resources in their own languages, AiBT can help create a foundation for wider language and community-focused work. The same technology that supports the drafting and refinement of Scripture can also help communities develop other meaningful content in their heart language.

Our Services are designed for projects that combine Bible content with content from other domains. Because many dedicated tools and services already exist for Bible-only work, we focus our Services on multi-domain projects that include the Bible and do not accept projects that consist solely of "Bible-only Projects".

This creates new opportunities for local languages to be used, strengthened and developed in more areas of everyday life.

At the heart of it

Bible Translation
at the Core

Bible translation remains at the heart of AiBT. The tool is designed to help indigenous translation teams create initial drafts, review content and refine translations while keeping translators and communities in control.

AiBT helps reduce repetitive work, allowing translation teams to focus more time on meaning, natural language and quality.

But the language knowledge developed through the translation process can also have value beyond Scripture.

  • 01

    Draft

Teams produce initial drafts faster, supported by a language model grounded in their own work.

  • 02

    Review

Content is checked and discussed by the people who know the language and the community.

  • 03

    Refine

Translators spend their time on meaning, naturalness and quality rather than repetition.

  • 04

    Retain control

Translators and communities stay in charge of every decision about their Scripture.

Bible Plus

Extending the impact
of translated Scripture

AiBT can support the development of Bible Plus resources that help communities engage with Scripture in additional ways. These may include:

  • Bible study materials
  • Scripture-based teaching resources
  • Children’s Bible content
  • Discipleship materials
  • Literacy resources
  • Audio and oral content
  • Community discussion resources
  • Bible engagement materials

By supporting content development in the same heart language, AiBT can help translation teams and communities build resources that make Scripture more accessible and relevant for different audiences.

The goal is not simply to translate a Bible, but to help communities engage with God’s Word in ways that support learning, discipleship and everyday life.

Supporting community languages

Technology that can serve
more than one purpose

Many communities speak languages that have limited digital resources. AiBT can help create opportunities for those languages to be used in more areas, supporting the development of locally relevant content and resources.

With appropriate community involvement and oversight, AI-assisted language technology may support the creation and adaptation of materials such as:

  • Educational resources
  • Literacy materials
  • Health and community information
  • Local training content
  • Agricultural information
  • Community development resources
  • Cultural and heritage materials
  • Public information and communication

This can help strengthen the presence of local languages in the digital world while ensuring that communities remain involved in how their language is represented and used.

One language. More possibilities.

A resource built for translation
can serve a whole community

A language resource developed for Bible translation can become part of a wider foundation for community development. Once a community has developed stronger digital language resources, there may be opportunities to create and adapt content more efficiently across different domains. For example, the same language technology could potentially support:

Education

Helping develop learning and literacy materials in the language people understand best.

Community Information

Supporting the translation or adaptation of useful information for local communities.

Health and Wellbeing

Making selected community information more accessible in local languages.

Agriculture and Livelihoods

Supporting the adaptation of practical information for farmers and local communities.

Culture and Heritage

Helping communities document, preserve and share their language and cultural knowledge.

Faith and Discipleship

Creating additional Scripture-based resources that help people engage more deeply with God’s Word.

Voices from the team

In our own language,
at our own pace

Using AiBT has not only improved the quality of our translations but has also helped us become better and more efficient translators. It helps us identify translation gaps, learn from areas that need improvement, and develop better translation practices. As a result, we can complete more work in less time while having more opportunity to review and refine our translations, ultimately leading to greater efficiency and consistently better quality.

Translator · ASIA

It feels like a dream come true to see community members able to read the Scriptures in their own mother tongue and understand them more deeply. AiBT has the potential to significantly reduce the gap in understanding and make God’s Word more accessible to our communities. I truly believe this tool can help eradicate Bible poverty and strengthen our communities in a meaningful way. I still can’t believe I am witnessing this transformation. Praise the Lord!

Community ownership

Community Ownership
Remains Essential

The expansion of AI into new domains should never mean removing people from the process. Communities should remain involved in deciding:

  • What content is useful
  • How their language is represented
  • Which resources should be developed
  • How information is reviewed
  • Who can access and use the technology

AiBT is designed around the principle that technology should serve communities.

The community knows its language.

The community understands its needs.

The technology provides support.

The road ahead

From Translation Tool
to Community Resource

AiBT has the potential to become more than a tool for creating Bible drafts. It can help provide a foundation for wider language development and community-focused content creation.

By combining AI technology with local knowledge, indigenous expertise and community ownership, AiBT can support a future where more people have access to meaningful information in the languages they know best.

  1. Bible translation

    is the beginning.

  2. Language development

    creates new possibilities.

  3. Community ownership

    guides the future.
